Jonathan Andic’s defense will file an appeal before Thursday against the detention order for an alleged homicide offense that Magistrate Raquel Nieto signed exactly one week ago for the death of Isak Andic. Lawyer Cristóbal Martell began working on the document today and has until Thursday to submit it to Court No. 5 of Martorell, but addressed to the Barcelona Court, responsible for resolving it.

The lawyer will delve into the investigation by the Mossos d’Esquadra, will refute one by one the indications listed by the judge, and will question the detention measure, which was avoided by paying a bail of one million euros.

Last Tuesday, the magistrate made public a devastating detention order in which she listed the seven indications that, in her opinion and that of prosecutor Teresa Yoldi, incriminate Jonathan Andic in the death of the founder of Mango, on December 14, 2024, when both were walking alone in the Montserrat massif.
Martell questions whether the elements the magistrate classifies as indications truly are, in legal terms. “When an indication does not lead to unequivocal consequences, it is not an indication,” defense sources warn.

Meanwhile, Mango continues trying to separate its activity from the judicial case. Just yesterday, the Borme published the extensive reorganization it has undertaken in its internal control. The changes were notarized and submitted to the registry on May 4, 2026, and affect dozens of powers of attorney. The Borme records its final registration on May 18, one day before Jonathan Andic’s arrest.
The set of movements is technical and organizational in nature. These modify the scope of the company’s legal representation powers, focused on the figures of joint attorneys-in-fact. This is a common practice in large multinational companies. The movements respond to the change from SL to SA that the group announced last year.
