Russia accused Ukraine on Monday of deliberately launching its drones against civilians after a Ukrainian attack killed at least seven people in Gelendzhik, a holiday area in the Krasnodar region on the Black Sea coast. Four of the victims died on the Arkhipo-Osipovka beach when a drone shot down by Russian air defenses fell.

In images published by several Telegram channels, you can see how the unmanned device crashes onto the beach, causing an explosion and a shockwave in the sand. At that moment, dozens of people were resting by the sea or swimming in the sea.
Russian regional authorities added that among the dead were three minors. In addition, 40 people were injured.

The governor of Krasnodar, Veniamin Kondrátiev, said what happened was a tragedy, which he blamed on Ukraine, with which Russia has been at war for almost four and a half years, since Russian President Vladimir Putin sent the army to the neighboring country. “It was a deliberate attack by the Kyiv regime against the civilian population, which has no relation whatsoever to military infrastructure,” Kondrátiev said in a message posted on Telegram.
Last month, Russia accused Ukraine of killing 11 people, including four children, in an attack on a holiday camp in the part of the Ukrainian province of Zaporizhzhia controlled by Russia.
