Grupo Godó has announced two appointments in its management structure: Óscar Rodríguez assumes the General Management of Godó Media and Francesc Cano joins as the new director of RAC1 and RAC105. Both organizational changes will take effect from October 1.

Óscar Rodríguez has been appointed new General Director of the media division of Grupo Godó. Until now, he held the general management of Godó Strategies, the division responsible for marketing the advertising spaces of the group’s media.
Rodríguez joined Grupo Godó in 1997 and throughout his career has held various management positions in the company, including the general management of distribution and printing of the group, as well as the general management of Mundo Deportivo and La Vanguardia.

Rodríguez replaces Xavier de Pol, who has been in charge of the General Management of Godó Media for the last four years and has decided to undertake new business projects in the audiovisual field.

Grupo Godó has also appointed Francesc Cano as the new director of RAC1 and RAC105. Cano is a journalist and a prominent executive in the Catalan audiovisual sector, with executive training in business management from IESE. He has a consolidated career leading the news direction of Catalunya Ràdio and currently directs the audiovisual production company La Manchester, where he has led the creation and production of current affairs and entertainment formats for television, radio, and digital media.

Cano replaces Eulàlia Carbonell, who has been linked to the group since the beginning of RAC1 and CityTV (8tv) activities in 1999 and has extensive experience in audiovisual projects. Under her leadership, RAC1 has consolidated its position as the leading radio station in Catalonia, surpassing one million daily listeners, breaking historical audience records.
Additionally, during the last season, she has promoted the technological renewal of Grupo Godó’s stations with the launch of the new facilities inaugurated in March this year.
