Four women have died violently in the State in the last 24 hours. At least three of these cases are currently being investigated as alleged gender-based violence crimes.

Yesterday, Wednesday, a 30-year-old woman was found dead with stab wounds in a home in Antequera (Málaga), allegedly murdered by her partner, a man who committed suicide after committing the crime, according to investigation sources. The couple had two children together, aged 4 and 7, according to the sources, who state that the police investigation points to a possible case of gender-based violence.

This Thursday, three other crimes have occurred, two of them investigated as cases of gender-based violence. This morning, in the Toledo town of Alameda de la Sagra, a 48-year-old man has been arrested for the death of his partner, a woman murdered with a bladed weapon. Sources from the Civil Guard added that the victim was not in the Viogen system and there were no previous records of similar incidents. In addition, authorities have confirmed that three of the couple’s four children were at home at the time of the fatal assault, one of them being a minor.
