At least seven people died this Sunday during the massive Ukrainian drone and missile attack against the Moscow region and southern Russia, local authorities reported today.

The governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Sliusar, confirmed the death of two more civilians – now five in total – in the nighttime bombing with fixed-wing drones and missiles, which caused damage to private homes, infrastructure, and factories.
In total, air defenses shot down more than 150 drones in nine districts of that southern region, which borders Donbas and is washed by the Sea of Azov.
Meanwhile, in the Moscow region, an 83-year-old man died tonight when a drone fell on his house, according to Governor Andrei Vorobyov.
One of the most massive attacks
The official stated that this has been one of the most massive attacks against his region in recent times, as the anti-aircraft batteries shot down 187 drones, which also left three others injured.
In turn, another person died and nine were injured when a bus carrying workers from a company in the border region of Belgorod was hit, according to Governor Alexandr Shuvayev, who accused Kiev of terrorism.
Ukrainian drones also hit an e-commerce warehouse of the company Wildberries, according to Telegram channels, the largest in Russia with about 200,000 square meters of surface area.
The company confirmed the attack that occurred in the city of Podolsk, which is 36 kilometers from the center of Moscow, but added that all personnel were evacuated in time.
Although no one was injured, a fire has been declared, which has been located but not extinguished, according to emergency services.
Additionally, Vorobyov reported that a fire also broke out in a medicine warehouse in the city of Domodedovo, which gives its name to the largest airport in the Russian capital.
The mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, reported, for his part, three injured and the shooting down of about 600 drones heading to the city of 13 million inhabitants since Saturday afternoon.
In total, according to the morning war report, Russian air defenses shot down 822 drones since Saturday afternoon over the skies of 16 regions, the annexed Crimean peninsula, and the waters of the Black and Azov seas.

According to Russian authorities, at least 201 civilians died in July due to Ukrainian attacks, mostly with drones, against Russian territory and Ukrainian regions occupied by Moscow.
Meanwhile, the independent Russian group Conflict Intelligence Team estimated 634 civilian victims from both sides last month, two-thirds of whom would be Ukrainian citizens.
The Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, has proposed in recent weeks an air truce and another to cease bombings against Black Sea ports, attacks that have driven up global grain prices, but the Kremlin rejected both proposals until a “reliable and lasting” arrangement is achieved.
A Russian missile attack causes two deaths and 13 injuries in Ukraine
At least two people have died and another 13 were injured in a Russian nighttime attack against an ArcelorMittal plant in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the company itself reported this Sunday.
The metallurgical company ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih reported in a Facebook statement that it was the target of the Russian missile attack. As a result of the attack, 13 employees of the company and subcontractors were injured.
Initially, only one death was reported, but later the body of another deceased person was found.
The company indicated that the main energy production facilities and blast furnaces were damaged, and the plant’s production processes have been partially halted until specialists assess the extent of the damage and the possibilities and timelines for resuming activity.
In 2022, the company already suffered a missile attack in which the long product rolling workshop was destroyed and one employee died.
In other places in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in Nikopol, the district center and the communities of Marganets, Mirove, Pokrovske, and Chervonohrihorivka were attacked.
The attack damaged infrastructure, a company, a multi-story residential building, and a private home. A 55-year-old man was injured.
