At least 13 people have died after a small plane crashed this Saturday over the Nazca Lines, in southern Peru, according to the state channel TVPerú.

A small plane with at least 11 foreign tourists on board and two pilots that was conducting a sightseeing flight over the Nazca Lines crashed a few hours ago in the Pueblo Viejo area, in the Ica region. The aircraft had taken off from Pisco airport heading to the tourist circuit, but minutes later lost contact with the control tower.

According to initial reports, it belongs to the company Aerodiana, dedicated to tourist flights and charter services. According to Sol Tv, so far the tourists are from Europe: two Spaniards, two Germans, and seven Italians.
