A 16-year-old boy died after being hit by a car this Saturday in Castelldefels (Baix Llobregat), which fled the scene, according to the Castelldefels Local Police.

The accident was reported around 00:05 on 11th Street, in the Lluminetes neighborhood. According to initial information, a car traveling at high speed fatally struck the boy, continued driving, and ended up crashing into a tree and a light pole at the roundabout of Paseo de la Marina with 11th Street.
He abandoned the car on foot
As a result, two other people suffered injuries of varying severity and received medical attention. The offender abandoned the car after the accident and was located and arrested at his home.

Officers from the Castelldefels Local Police, Mossos d’Esquadra, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) went to the accident site to assist those affected. The Castelldefels Local Police have taken charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident and have extended their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased 16-year-old boy.
