The advance of the La Mierla fire (Guadalajara) forces the evacuation of 34 localities and the confinement of another 14, as well as raising the danger level to 2 for two new fires in Retortillo (Soria) and Brieva (Segovia); in Andalusia, the two fires declared today in Huelva and Granada are considered stabilized.

The emergency management of the La Mierla fire has decided to evacuate the town of Alpedroches and confine the population of Hijes, Miedes de Atienza, Casillas, Bochones, Romanillos de Atienza, and Bañuelos de Atienza.
There are now a total of 34 evacuated localities, 14 confined, and more than 1,200 people affected.
The fire remains uncontrolled and is maintained at level 2 of operability; it has already affected 26,000 hectares, mostly within the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara Natural Park.
According to the Operative technicians, the weather conditions, the speed of spread, and the wind direction indicate that the fire could enter the province of Soria, which has forced Castilla y León to reinforce the deployment of human and material resources.
The Albacete Provincial Council has also mobilized the Special Service for Fire Prevention and Extinction to collaborate in the fire extinguishing efforts.
New fires in Castilla y León
Since this Monday, Castilla y León has two fires declared in the municipalities of Retortillo (Soria) and Brieva (Segovia); the advance of the fire in La Mierla and the forecast that the flames will reach Soria this afternoon have forced the risk level to be raised to 2, according to the regional government.
In Retortillo, the Junta has ordered the evacuation of the Virgen del Prado nursing home, as well as the evacuation of elderly people from the town as deemed appropriate, due to air quality caused by smoke from the Guadalajara fire and the possibility of worsening conditions.

On the other hand, several municipalities around Brieva are beginning to evacuate residents, who are being transferred to Torreiglesias and Sotosalbos, according to municipal sources reported to EFE; initially, these are Tenzuela, Carrascal, La Cuesta, Aldeasaz, and Santo Domingo de Pirón.
The Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi) has indicated that the smoke risk could also affect other nearby populations such as Barcones, Arenillas, Retortillo de Soria, and Lumías (Berlanga de Duero).
In Salamanca, a forest fire has also been declared in Monsagro (Salamanca) which, after moving from danger level 1 to 0, has been stabilized.
Stabilized in Andalusia
The forest fire declared on Monday afternoon in an area of Cádiar, in the Alpujarra of Granada, was controlled at 19:55 by the Andalusian Forest Fire Extinguishing Operational Service (Infoca).
For its extinction, three medium-heavy helicopters, two ground-based water bombers, 30 forest firefighters, and a fire truck have been activated.
The Infoca Plan also declared the forest fire declared this afternoon in the Camino del Tresmadal area of Moguer (Huelva) stabilized at 18:30, which was later located in the Huelva area of El Pilonar de Lucena del Puerto.
Two ground-based water bombers, two helicopters, about twenty personnel, and two fire trucks have worked on it.
