Spain’s last training session before playing the World Cup final against Argentina this Sunday has been disrupted by the bad weather hitting New York this Saturday. De la Fuente and his players have not been able to go out to their training field at Melanie Lane Trainings Grounds, the home of the New York Red Bull sports city, due to the rain that has progressively intensified over East Hanover and then headed towards Manhattan.
The water that has been falling on the training field was starting to leave the grass in poor condition, with a high risk of injury, but also the storm protocol in the United States is very strict and would not have allowed training to take place.

The training was supposed to start at 11 o’clock but since it was already raining, the protocol was applied, which allows waiting half an hour after the rain ends before going out to train. As the bad weather persisted, the session was officially suspended at 11:41 and the work was activation in the gym, where the players were already working.
The Argentina national team’s training has also been postponed, although it has not yet been officially suspended.
