Agents from the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi Investigation Unit arrested two women aged 41 and 36 this past Monday, who are accused of a home burglary and six theft offenses for one of them, and two receiving stolen goods offenses for the other. The total value of the stolen jewelry and money amounts to 390,000 euros.
The investigation began following a complaint from one of the victims. The incidents took place between February and June of this year in several homes in the towns of Barcelona, Sant Cugat del Vallès, and Sant Pere de Vilamajor, where the suspect worked. The agents have so far identified six victims.
The agents arrested the suspect with ten pieces of jewelry including gold chains, rings, and earrings in her possession
The investigators have indications that, once in possession of the jewelry, the detainee, along with another woman, visited several pawn shops and gold buying shops, where they resold the stolen items. In the verified sales, they obtained a profit of 37,700 euros.
On June 4, the main suspect was arrested at one of the homes, where the agents found ten pieces of jewelry including gold chains, rings, and earrings. Additionally, they found a receipt from a gold buying shop.
Following the investigations carried out, the investigators have managed to attribute more acts to the suspects and recover some of the stolen pieces, which have already been returned to the victims. The detainees have already been brought before the court after the corresponding investigations.
