The circulation of the Rodalies R3 line was interrupted this Thursday between Manlleu (Osona) and Ripoll after a train collided with a tree that had fallen onto the tracks, due to heavy rainfall. The incident, which occurred on a single-track section, resulted in no injuries. The Bombers de la Generalitat, who received the alert at 8:07 PM, deployed six units and evacuated the six passengers who were traveling on the convoy.

Protecció Civil has declared a pre-alert for the Ferrocat plan, while Renfe has established an alternative bus service to cover the affected section. The episode of intense rainfall in Catalonia keeps the Inuncat plan alert activated.
The storm has also forced the temporary closure of the C-17 road in Ripoll in both directions. Between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the Bombers responded to 13 calls, eight of them in the Girona emergency region. For its part, the 112 telephone registered about ten calls, most of them from Ripollès.
The intensity of the rainfall has put river basins under strain. The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has issued warnings for hydrological risk after the danger threshold was exceeded in the Vilada stream (Berguedà), in the Llobregat basin, and the alert threshold in Sant Joan de les Abadesses (Ripollès), in the Ter basin.

The records from the Catalan Meteorological Service (Meteocat) have confirmed the virulence of the episode, with accumulations that have approached torrential levels: 41.6 liters per square meter in half an hour in the Santuari de Queralt, 34.3 in Montesquiu, and 31.8 in Sant Joan de les Abadesses.
The situation has led Meteocat to activate a high danger alert in 17 comarcas, mainly in the center and east of the community, and moderate danger in more than fifteen. Given the forecast that 60 liters per square meter could fall in a three-hour period in Ripollès, Garrotxa, Osona, and Lluçanès, the Generalitat has for the first time issued its new specific warning system for this time frame.
