The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Monday that rescue teams have located the bodies of four Italian divers believed to have been inside an underwater cave in a Maldivian atoll.

Searches resumed on Monday after being suspended following the death of a local military diver during a dangerous mission to try to reach them.
It is believed that five Italian divers died while exploring a cave about 50 meters deep in the Vaavu atoll on Thursday, according to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The allowed limit for recreational diving in the Maldives is 30 meters.
