In a tweet, Sánchez expresses his support for the young player from Rocafonda. “Those who consider that waving the flag of a State is ‘inciting hatred’ have either lost their minds or have been blinded by their own ignominy. Lamine has only expressed the solidarity for Palestine that millions of Spaniards feel. Another reason to be proud of him,” writes the President of the Government on his X account.

The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, had criticized Lamine Yamal this Thursday after images were released this week showing the FC Barcelona player waving a Palestinian flag during the celebration of the League title in the Catalan City.

“Lamine Yamal chose to incite against Israel and foster hatred while our soldiers fight the terrorist organization Hamas, which massacred, raped, burned, and murdered Jewish children, women, and elderly on October 7,” said the minister in a message written in Spanish and published on his X account.
