The candidate of Por Andalucía for the Presidency of the Junta, Antonio Maíllo, presented this Saturday in Algeciras (Cádiz) the coalition’s fiscal proposal, “a key tool to strengthen public services that would allow raising more than 1,000 million euros without affecting the working majority.”
In statements to journalists, Maíllo explained that among the measures proposed by the coalition, the creation of new regional brackets in the IRPF stands out to increase fiscal progressivity, “so that higher incomes contribute in greater proportion.”
He also proposes recovering the inheritance and gift tax for inheritances over one million euros, strengthening the wealth tax, and improving the fight against tax fraud.

On the other hand, Antonio Maíllo denounced “the repeated breaches by the Andalusian Government in health matters in the Campo de Gibraltar, a region that suffers from a huge deficit of public investments despite the available resources.”
The candidate’s appearance before the media took place in the Algeciras neighborhood of San José Artesano, next to a municipal building where the Popular Party announced in February 2023 the location of a new health center.
