A man is in critical condition after jumping from the balcony of a fourth-floor apartment in Barcelona, following self-infliction with a knife and stabbing three other people in the building, one of whom is in serious condition.

Sources from the Mossos d’Esquadra have informed Efe that this incident took place on Sunday morning, in an apartment located at number 162 of Gran Via, in the Sants-Montjuic district of Barcelona.

In this apartment, according to sources, three men live together, one of whom was this morning in a room with his girlfriend.

No hypothesis is ruled out

For reasons currently unknown, the attacker went to the room and injured his roommate with a knife, who is in serious condition, and his girlfriend, who was slightly injured.

The commotion from the incident led the third tenant of the apartment to go to the room, where he was also slightly injured by the attacker who later self-harmed and jumped into the void from the apartment balcony.
