One of the consequences of the situation in Ceuta since the massive arrival of migrants from Morocco in July is the sexual attacks on young people who arrived in this wave, including nine minors.

The data handled by the Ceuta Prosecutor’s Office is 23 open proceedings for sexual assaults, five of which are rapes, that is, assaults with penetration. Among the victims, nine are minors between 14 and 17 years old and all of them migrants, according to sources from the public ministry. One of the victims is from the LGTBI community.
So far the alleged perpetrators have been identified, four of them Moroccan nationals, three Spanish and one Belgian. The rest of the attackers remain unidentified by the State security forces.

These are the updated data for this Monday, after the Attorney General of the State, Teresa Peramato, revealed last week, during her visit to Ceuta, that since the massive crossing, through which more than 80,000 people entered the city in just 48 hours, 16 sexual assaults with 17 victims had been recorded.
In addition, she reported that during the crisis there has been an increase in crimes against property and crimes of assault and resistance to law enforcement officers.
