With the three key phases of any crisis – alert, response, and reconstruction – unresolved from a month ago until today. With an aggravating factor: the Executive cannot, should not, nor is it good for it to act as a direct or indirect spokesperson for Morocco in its statements, especially when it cannot confirm what it does not know.

It is also a huge mistake not to mention the word Morocco like any other country, emulating that of Zapatero who did not pronounce the word crisis. This has completely misaligned his own electorate, as seen in many progressive profiles on social media. In a context where more than 80% of Spaniards precisely believe that Morocco has deliberately used migratory pressure as a political weapon. This is a cross-cutting conviction with no left or right, no up or down, no inside or outside axes. The verdict on the Government’s management, therefore, can only be severe both institutionally and politically as well as communicatively.

The prevailing climate in Spain is of maximum migratory harshness for not tackling this crisis in time. And Sánchez must therefore take the reins of this crisis by leading the situation committee on the ground and showing firmness externally and at the border. Ensuring that order will be restored in Ceuta as quickly as possible, whatever the necessary conditions and means for it, and reminding Morocco, whether responsible or not, that we will be firm to guarantee the security of Ceuta and Melilla against any challenge, any eventuality, and under any circumstance. This Wave has redefined the entire landscape in its path. The global context (clearly authoritarian) has been lost, domestic politics is at stake, and budgets, amnesty, and elections are coming. Ceuta goes beyond geopolitics, cultural war, and 20th-century ideologies. It is a new kind of cognitive war for which the left, and Sánchez as the last Mohican, is not yet sufficiently equipped. At the very heart of the EU, in all the main centers of power, bets have been placed on the fall of President Sánchez. From Weber to Trump , from Meloni to Le Pen . The humanitarian crisis in Ceuta is a hybrid blow in which demography is the new weapon to corner the last leader defending the founding values of the EU.
