A traffic accident in Ribera d’Urgellet (Alt Urgell) left five people injured this Sunday, three of them in critical condition, according to emergency services. The incident occurred around 17:49 on a rural road near the C-14 highway, in the Bor de Poblador area.

According to initial data, a car left the road and rolled about ten meters, ending up off the roadway. The Medical Emergency System (SEM) attended to the five occupants of the vehicle at the scene: three of them have serious injuries and have been considered critical, while the other two were less seriously injured.
To respond to the incident, the SEM activated two medical helicopters, three ambulances, and a joint team with the Generalitat Firefighters. The firefighters also deployed five units, one of them with the Underwater Activities and Rescue in Confined Spaces Group (GRAE) and SEM medical personnel, to assist in the care and stabilization of the injured.

The case has been reported to the Catalan Traffic Service, which has opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident. Traffic in the area was affected during rescue and assistance operations, although no prolonged closures on the C-14 have been reported.
