A new forest fire was declared this Wednesday in Aldea del Fresno (3,400 inhabitants) and has forced the confinement of this locality and the nearby municipality of Villamantilla (1,700). The fire originated at kilometer 52 of the M-510 road and Operational Situation 2 of the INFOMA Plan has been activated due to the fire’s evolution and the strong wind.

The Government delegation in Madrid has asked the population, in a message on the social network X, to avoid traveling to the affected area and to follow the emergency services’ instructions at all times.

According to what the Villamanta City Council published on Instagram, traffic is restricted from Villamanta towards Aldea del Fresno, Méntrida, and Villamantilla. From Villamanta, one can only travel in the direction of Navalcarnero.
