The judge overseeing the case of the public housing at the Les Naus residential complex in Alicante has once again summoned the three City Council officials who did not appear last Friday to testify on May 20, following an initial summons.

According to the TSJ, the summons for May 8 was sent via an official letter to the email address of the Alicante City Council itself, the same through which the administrative file was requested at the time. The new summons for these witnesses for the 20th will now be carried out by the National Police unit assigned to the courts.

They are the head of the Asset Management Service, a technician from that service, and the chief architect of the Technical Department of Works Control. It so happens that they also did not attend the municipal commission studying the matter, although unlike in court, attendance in that case is voluntary.

Regarding the absence of the three municipal officials, some accusations expressed doubts that it was due to an administrative error. The lawyer representing Ciudadanos said that “maybe the court summons got lost in the corridors of the excellent Alicante City Council.”
