The simultaneity of fires in the vicinity of Madrid complicates extinction efforts, with four active fires close to each other and the added difficulty of being very close to each other and in three different autonomous communities.

The Madrid 112 Security and Emergency Agency (ASEM 112) has sent an ES-Alert message to the residents of Aldea del Fresno requesting their evacuation to the town of Villamanta, due to the evolution of the forest fire in its vicinity, including the AMAM Picadas and San Juan Bautista residences.
In the area, 18 units of the Community of Madrid Firefighters, Forest Firefighters, Forest Agents, and the Military Emergency Unit (UME) are working.
The M-507 towards Navalcarnero and the N-403 towards Toledo are cut off at the junction between both roads.
According to sources from the regional government, at this moment, there are three fires affecting the Community of Madrid: one in Villa del Prado, affecting Aldea del Fresno; another in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, affecting Pelayos de la Presa, and another in Almorox (Toledo), which is in the stabilization phase.

In San Martín de Valdeiglesias, the fire has forced the preventive confinement of a nursing home and asked residents of two urbanizations to remain in their homes.
In the extinction efforts, 16 aerial and ground units from the Community of Madrid Firefighters, Forest Brigades, and Forest Agents of the region are working, as reported by Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid in a message on X.
The population of Pelayos de la Presa, including the urbanizations, has received an ES-Alert message to head to the urban center due to the proximity of the San Martín de Valdeiglesias fire.

Fire in Burgohondo, forcing the confinement of this town, El Tiemblo, and Navaluenga
The fire declared this Thursday in the Ávila municipality of Burgohondo has forced the activation of the ES-Alert warning system to ask residents of the nearby towns of El Tiemblo, Navaluenga, and Burgohondo itself to remain in their homes and follow the instructions of the authorities and the Civil Guard. In addition, El Burguillo campsite and the rural houses of Las Cruceras and La Rinconada have been evacuated.
The Emergency Coordination Center of the Junta de Castilla y León has sent the ES-Alert to the affected areas, specifically the towns of Burgohondo, Navaluenga, which around 3:00 p.m. had the fire front about 1,500 meters away, according to the territorial delegate of the Junta, José Francisco Hernández, and El Tiemblo.
The El Tiemblo City Council has informed its residents that the confinement is preventive “until further notice” with the aim of protecting the health of the population from “the possible arrival of smoke and ashes,” as well as facilitating the work of the emergency response teams.
Likewise, 112 has reported that due to the fire, the El Burguillo campsite and the rural houses of La Rinconada and Las Cruceras have been evacuated.
The situation, after 3:00 p.m., as explained by the territorial delegate, is one of a “very active” and “very complex” fire, in whose extinction operation more than a hundred personnel have been deployed.
The “maximum priority” of the containment efforts is in the population centers of Navaluenga and a scattered settlement of Burgohondo, where the UME has carried out a containment line primarily with bulldozer work.
On the other hand, the representative of the regional government pointed out that on the front closest to Piedralaves, it has been possible to work better with aerial means, and it is currently “the most secure area,” so for the moment, the Tiétar Valley “is not in danger.”
