The open war for the presidency of Real Madrid between Florentino Pérez and Enrique Riquelme continues to accumulate episodes. After last night’s television battle on Antena 3, this morning Riquelme’s candidacy went on the attack by hanging a banner in which he subtly accuses Florentino Pérez of wanting to sell the club.

“And what are you going to do? Real Madrid is not for sale.” This is the text that can be read on the banner, above an image of the Bernabéu with a ‘for sale’ sign and a phone symbol with Florentino Pérez’s name.
The possible sale of 5% of Real Madrid if Florentino Pérez is president is one of the main points of Riquelme’s campaign. With this banner, he again attacks the president, who has not specified how this economic operation would be.

Riquelme, on the other hand, has even signed before a notary that he will not sell any percentage of the club and has marked it as a red line of his mandate if he becomes president.
