Things of age, it is said, Donald Trump shows on his social network that he is obsessed with looking younger than he is to silence the numerous and growing complaints about his physical decline and, above all, his mental state.

In less than a month (June 14), the President of the United States will celebrate his 80th birthday. Although the scrutiny he is subjected to in the media is not yet comparable to that suffered by his predecessor, Joe Biden, in a pincer movement that united Fox and CNN or the New York Post and The New York Times, his recent behavior is raising questions about his health, even from some members of his own party.
He can increasingly less hide the ravages of time. Trump is aging and that has led to fewer trips, the use of more comfortable shoes, giving the impression that he seems to fall asleep during meetings (as long as he is not speaking), and the reiteration in his daily agenda of the concept “executive time,” which is closed to the press. His ankles are swollen, his hands show bruises despite makeup, and his eyes are surrounded by increasingly pronounced bags.

Trump attended a military school in his adolescence but never served in the armed forces. He received multiple deferments from military service during the Vietnam War, including a decisive one due to bone spurs.
In his feverish fight against biology, in one of those posts on Truth Social he declared: “President Trump gets YOUNGER,” alongside an image showing him standing next to Chinese leader Xi Jinping (72 years old), with a suspiciously smooth and noticeably less aged face.
“President Trump ages in reverse,” he said in another post getting out of a golf cart, with another retouched photo in which he looks younger than he is. Immortality was this. Trump intends to be the living portrait of Benjamin Button, the character inspired by a story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, who from old age went back to his childhood.
