Dozens of Ceutíes gathered this Friday at the doors of the Autonomous Palace to welcome the president of Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, Florentino Pérez, who was received by the head of the local Executive, Juan Vivas.

The neighbors came to meet Pérez wearing Real Madrid and Ceuta Sports Association shirts. They shouted “Florentino, Florentino!”.
The president visited Ceuta accompanied by the honorary president of Madrid and native of Ceuta, José Martínez Pirri, and the director of institutional relations of Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño.

Both Florentino and Pirri signed the Autonomous City’s book of honor. While the former Ceutí Real Madrid player was doing so, Florentino Pérez spoke with several counselors of the Ceuta Government. One of them, the head of Finance, Kissy Chandiramani, thanked him for the gesture of visiting the city amid the crisis: “We really appreciate the support.”
The president of Real Madrid praised Juan Vivas, whom he described as “the most illustrious president Spain has.”
