This establishment opened its doors in the municipality of Gavà more than six decades ago, offering pizzas, coffees, and takeout food. “According to employee testimony, the owners gathered the staff to announce that the establishment was closing its doors,” explained the portal Noticias de Castelldefels.

There is no official statement about the closure of La Pava’s activity. But besides the signs, no one answers the establishment’s phone, and its social media profiles are no longer active. Therefore, the reasons for the closure are currently unknown, which has surprised regulars of the place and nearby businesses.

La Pava was a landmark establishment in the Baix Llobregat region and will be remembered for its pizzas and rotisserie chickens, in a complex that also included a grill and bakery, among other services. But it was also part of a leisure complex located on the Castelldefels highway, which for years was a reference point in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
Next to the beach, the airport, and well connected to Barcelona, several nightclubs were located there that gradually also closed down. There were also various campsites, which ceased their activity over the years, although two still remain today.
