The red stand of We are 93 roared again and boiled over with its hero. Marc Márquez renewed his romance with his favorite garden in this corner of Teruel with a crushing victory in the Sprint of the Aragon GP, the third in a row, which makes him once again the master of Saturdays with 20 wins in short races, compared to Jorge Martín’s 19.

A success that could be sensed in his promised land, where he has accumulated 7 Sunday wins and 3 consecutive on Saturdays, but whose hegemony had been challenged by Marco Bezzecchi, who had defeated him three times in a row. Márquez put him in his place when the points are distributed.
”Marco was on the soft tire and the race opportunity came at the first corner. A good start helps a lot. I saw that Àlex and Marco were going quite fast. I hope to improve for tomorrow and stay as consistent as today,” said the Catalan after the victory.
The start
The two Márquez brothers slipped past Bezzecchi at the first corner with a brutal braking from the Cervera riders
However, there had been too many bad omens. He fell on Friday in Practice by 38 thousandths, again in the morning free practice by two tenths, and again in qualifying, by 89 thousandths. Three defeats in a row against Bezzecchi in his Motorland garden, where he had not conceded a session since the Aragon circuit returned to the championship in 2024 (only the warm-up of 2024). It was a warning. “There is a rider who is going a little faster, who is Bezzecchi and it has to be accepted,” admitted the 93 after bowing in qualifying to the Aprilia rider. “Yes, yes, he has more pace in the lap-by-lap, he is showing a great level, it is clear that the benchmark, for now, is him.”
However, when he lowered the visor, Marc transformed. The start was brutal. Bezzecchi accelerated better, but at the braking of the first corner the Catalan slipped inside to take the lead, a brutal late braking. His brother imitated him, also getting in and relegating the Italian to third place. A spectacular Sprint start with the two from Cervera at the front.

Behind, Martín had to work if he did not want Marc to cut a good handful of points. The Madrid rider, who started fifth, overtook Pedro Acosta to move into fourth on the fourth lap, while by then the 93 already led his brother by 7 tenths and Bezzecchi by 1.4s. The multi-champion was heading towards his fifth Saturday victory.
Unreachable pace
Marc showed a superior race pace, which neither Àlex nor Bezzecchi could follow
Past the halfway point of the Sprint (lap 6/11), Marc was already putting a second on his brother Àlex with a devastating pace change, and 1.2 on Bezzecchi, who was closing in on the Gresini rider by 4 tenths.
With three laps to go, Marc was 1.8s ahead of the Italian, who could not challenge him for the victory, as the multi-champion showed a superior, constant, unreachable pace. He started his last lap with almost a second over Àlex and 1.9 over Bezzecchi. The We are 93 stand roared seeing a new victory of their idol at Motorland. He cut 5 points from the Italian and 7 from leader Martín, who finished fifth, overtaken by Acosta. So Marc approaches 33 points from the lead and only four from Bezzecchi, whom he could surpass this Sunday.
