According to 112, at around 17:25 a call alerted the discovery of a 44-year-old woman dead in the back room of a business in the Carrefour Infante shopping center.
The worker who found her quickly alerted the security forces due to the appearance of a violent death.
The National Police requested medical assistance, but the ambulance doctor who arrived at the scene could only certify the death.
This is the second gender-based murder recorded today, after the death this morning in Llanes of a Civil Guard officer at the hands of her ex-partner, also a member of the Benemérita.

With this case, 35 women have been victims of gender-based violence so far this year, 1,376 since 2003.
